Hebomoia glaucippe
The largest pierid butterfly in Asia, the Great Orange-tip is a species of quiet grandeur. Its broad cream wings are punctuated by vivid orange forewing tips — a bold flourish that serves as both warning and distinction in the tropical forests and open landscapes it calls home. At rest, Hebomoia glaucippe reveals an underside of remarkable intricacy, its subtle patterning mimicking the appearance of a dried leaf with near-perfect accuracy.
It is a species that rewards both the casual admirer and the dedicated naturalist in equal measure.
Each specimen is presented in a minimalist natural history frame, drawing on the traditions of classical scientific collection while sitting comfortably in a contemporary interior. As with all natural specimens, subtle variation in color and pattern is inherent, ensuring every piece is uniquely its own.
